 
Enrichment Programs(Ages 2-12)
We offer a variety of enrichment programs throughout the
year. Our 2-6 year old enrichment programs focus on early
childhood learning. These program lesson plans follow WA
state benchmarks for kindergarten readiness, therefore, the
programs will help your child develop the cognitive, social,
and motor skills necessary to be successful. Our school
age program also offers your child the ability to strengthen
his/her cognitive and social skills. Lesson plans are created
by a certified teacher with a Masters Degree in Education.
In addition, our staff members are STARS certified. Above
all, these programs are enjoyable and engaging for your child.
Magic Tree House Adventure Club (Ages 6-9)
Get your passport ready! We will join Jack & Annie on
their time travel adventures around the world. This program
will center around 3-4 books from the Magic Tree
House series. We will dive into geography, anthropology,
and history. We will create passport books detailing our
adventures through the crafts we make.
Wonderful World of Science
Why are lemons sour? What makes balloons float? The
YMCA’s Wonderful World of Science answers these questions
and more! This science program is designed to introduce
your K-6th grader to basic concepts in chemistry, physics, and
biology through captivating demonstrations and fun hands on
experiments. This program is instructed by Dr. Lynn Bretscher
Lipski. She has performed chemistry demonstrations for children
for over 10 years and we are excited to offer her talents
and expertise in this great new program.
Little Feet Playhouse (Ages 2-3)
This class focuses on benchmark toddler skills. We help develop
these cognitive, social, and motor skills through dramatic
play, art music/movement, and sensory experiences. So
come and join us for beach combing, science experiments, and
making pizzas that look just like you! You will take home your
very own hand made sock puppet and bounded book that’s
all about you. Cost includes all supplies & healthy and/or all
natural organic kid made snack and drink. Parent participation
is required.

Around Our World
Children ages 2-5 years of age will learn about different cultures through song,
cooking activities, stories, crafts, and much more.
Tumbling Tots
Movement education class for children ages 2-4. Class emphasizes activities toward
motor and spatial skill development. Activities include: beginning tumbling skills,
use of parachutes, bean bags, balls, and much more. Parent participation required.
Fun With Music
Children ages 2-5 will sing a variety of cultural songs, dance, tell
stories through song and play instruments in a group setting that will
enhance your child’s musical environment. This class will guide
your child toward a lifetime of musical enjoyment.
Healthy Kids
This is a class that introduces children ages 2-5 to health. Each week will focus on a different topic: hygiene, safety, nutrition, manners, and more.
Water Works
Let’s explore the wonders of water, play water games, make
liquid crafts, and learn how boats float.
Outdoor Adventures
It’s almost Spring... time to take our curiosity outside. In
this adventurous class, children ages 2-5 will learn about
planting, worms, weather, seasons, the life cycle of a butterfly
and much more.
Fun Factory
Children ages 2-5 will play gym games, make seasonal crafts,
start to learn their colors and numbers through song, and
learn about socialization in this educational class.

YMCA Youth Super Sports
The YMCA’s new progressive youth sports program that combines the marvelous philosophy of past YMCA youth sports programs with new program concepts. Based upon a games approach of teaching skills and coaching sports, it consists of three components.

YMCA Bittys (Toddlers)
Parent child intro to sports and activities for 2 year olds that allows interaction with other toddlers. Age appropriate drills and games for developing motor skills are introduced.
YMCA Rookies (Preschool)
A noncompetitive, developmental program for 3 - 5 year olds that prepares them to participate successfully in YMCA Winners.
YMCA Winners (K - 6th Grade)
The YMCA’s unique, values based, noncompetitive sports program that recognizes achievement in and through sport. For ages 6 and up.
Each practice session contains a team circle related to character development that focuses on one of the four core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Through the games approach, the kids learn the sport by participating in a number of mini-games at each of their practice sessions. This helps them to develop their skills quicker and have a lot more fun.
YMCA Bittys (Toddlers)
Bitty Sports (Age 2)
You’re never too young to learn! This class will have a
variety of different sports every class. With positive teaching
strategies your child will learn the basics of each sport
through fun games and age appropriate activities. This is a
great way to get your children active at a young age.
Bitty Runners (Age 2)
Parents get active with your toddler! Using a padded floor,
this program provides a large space to run, jump stretch and
let loose! Using different obstacle courses and mazes, participants
will learn motor skills and how to follow instructions.
Set to music, this class is too much fun!
YMCA Rookies (Preschool)
Short Sports (Ages 3 - 5)
For all you sports fanatics! This program offers a different
sport every class. From dribbling a basketball to throwing
a Frisbee, this program allows your child to pick their favorite
sports activity. Come see what it’s all about.
Busy Runners (Ages 3 - 5)
Combining a variety of different movement skills with running,
as well as encouraging creativity and imagination in a
non-competitive but active environment, this class will stimulate
your child’s mind and body. Not only will they be learning
through activity, they will be having the time of their young
life!
Lil' Hoopstars Basketball League (Ages 3 - 5)
As an introduction to basketball, this program allows kids
to explore the sport of basketball by learning basic skills
playing simple games, learning teamwork and having FUN!
Parent involvement is encouraged.
Kick Starters Soccer League (Ages 3 -
5)
Time to kick it into gear with your little ones. Learn the
basic skills of soccer with ball handling, passing, and playing
with partners. If the weather holds up, we’ll be playing on a
real soccer field. Parent participation is necessary.
Kindergarten Coed Basketball League
Come out for the team! Learn the fundamentals of basketball, make new friends, play real games, and have some fun. Volunteer your time and help coach your child’s team.
Lil’ Hoopstars Basketball
Camp (Ages 3 - 5)
Using age appropriate equipment, this camp teaches basic
basketball drills for your little ones. Watch as your child
learns and grows to develop coordination and teamwork
ability. Participants receive a T-shirt and certificate for their
involvement.
Kinder Ball Basketball Camp (Kindergarten)
This is a FUN way to teach the basic skills of basketball.
By using fun drills and games your child will leave here not
only wanting more, but having gained skills to keep building
upon.
Little Rookies Baseball Camp (Ages 3 - 5)
Parents, play ball with your child! Actively participate with
YMCA Staff and help coach participants in this program as
lessons are designed to foster a strong parent child relationship
through shared experiences in learning the basics of Tball
and baseball. Participants need to provide their own
glove. All participants receive a T-shirt and free lunch every
day thanks to the City of Hoquiam’s Summer Lunch
Program. Camp will meet at the Olympic Stadium’s big
field.
Outdoor Kick Starters Soccer Camp (Ages 3 - 5)
Soccer is meant to be played outdoors, so that’s what we
are going to do! This week long camp entails different soccer
drills learned through fun. Participants will be educated
on teamwork, agility, balance, coordination, listening, and
social skills. Make sure to bring your soccer shoes! Camp
will meet at Emerson Field in Hoquiam.
Little Gal Cheer Camp (Ages 3 - 5)
Cheer, Cheer, Cheer for YMCA! With this beginners
cheerleading class, participants will learn jumps, dance routines
and best of all how to yell! Join the fun with Pom -
Poms and spirit. Every participant receives a Cheer Camp
T-shirt.
Tumbling Camp (Ages 3 - Adult)
Let’s tumble! Great for cheerleaders, dancers and divers!
Learn and excel in Flexibility, Balance, Coordination, Body
Awareness, Forward and Backward Rolls, Head and Hand
Stands, Cartwheels, Round Offs and much more!
Y’s World of Sports Camp (Ages 5 - 12)
Come in for a full week of fun! Held inside our own YMCA
and with outdoor field trips, this camp includes: gym activities,
sports drills and competitions, speed stacking, obstacle
course races, swimming, field trips to the park, bowling alley,
roller skating rink, and more!
Home School Sports (Ages 5 - 12)
Here is an opportunity for you
to have some fun and get some exercise.
This program teaches the importance of physical fitness as well as teaching
developmentally appropriate skills to students.
Gymnastics & Movements
Gymnastics is a challenging sport with great rewards for the disciplined
gymnast. We provide instruction for all levels from Movement
(ages 3-5) through level VI (ages 5+) and even a High School and Adult Tumbling class which is perfect for cheerleaders.

YMCA Winners (K - 6th Grade)
1st & 2nd Grade Coed Basketball League
This basketball program will help develop that drive for success
in learning the skills and rules of basketball with of course FUN. Parents are needed to volunteer their time and help with coaching.
5th & 6th Grade Girls Basketball League
Time to play some ball! Full court basketball that’s fun but competitive. Join the team today because it’s an experienceyou won’t forget. Parents are needed to volunteer their time and help coach.
3rd & 4th Grade Coed Basketball League
With boys and girls combined, this is a great time to develop and improve those basketball skills that will last a lifetime. Parents are needed to volunteer their time and help with coaching.
4th - 6th Grade Girls Volleyball Camp
Bump! Set! Spike! Come join in our fun of teaching the
fundamentals of volleyball with a positive and competitive
atmosphere.
1st - 3rd Grade Coed Basketball Camp
Let’s pump it up! With a more in depth emphasis on skills
your child will be taught the fundamentals of basketball. We
use fun drills and games to teach in a positive way. Your
child will leave with a better understanding of the game itself.
4th Grade Boys Basketball Camp
Come and show your skills! This camp is designed with a
high intensity . We will teach your child how to positively
push themselves for a higher rate of competition. Join in
our fun by meeting new friends and getting ready for competitive
basketball.
4th Grade Girls Basketball Camp
Let’s put your skills to the test! This camp will help your
child practice moves, and get a taste of competition with
fun drills and exercises. Basketball lovers do not want to
miss this Camp.
Winners Baseball Camp (Ages 6 - 12)
Let’s Play Ball! Players will participate in an instructional
setting on the baseball field. Emphasizing skill building, teamwork
and building seft-esteem, while reinforcing the YMCA
core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect & Responsibility.
Participants need to provide their own glove. All participants
receive a T-shirt and free lunch everyday thanks to

Spirit Cheer Camp (Ages 6 - 12)
A great prelude to future cheerleaders! This camp offers

tumbling and helps boost self confidence. Lead by local
community cheerleaders, this fun filled camp will be a memorable
experience.

It is specifically for participants who have completed the
beginners course or have experience in playing racquetball.

Home School Teen Fitness (Ages 13
- 18)
Increase your fitness level and learn the basic lifting and cardio development. This is a great way for teens to stay fit and active throughout the year.

Y-Clubhouse
A place to hang out, play games, watch movies,
exercise, or work on art projects. Equipped with a Dance Exercise Revolution
Machine, Xbox 360, Wii, Playstations, Gamecubes, a
foosball table, big screen projector, treadwall climber, and 20
Ibook computers.

Youth & Government
Students in 8th-12th grade meet weekly on Sunday evenings starting October 7th at 5 pm. Delegates will learn how our state government operates, how to write a bill, how a bill becomes law and make lots of friends. This is a nine month program that culminates in a three day trip to Olympia with over 400 delegates from all over Washington.

Our dances create a fun and safe environment for 7-9th graders to
come and hang out.

Late Night
A program sponsored by the YMCA and Harbor Afterschool that is
open for 6-8th graders in Grays Harbor County. This program is FREE
to everyone and includes swimming, racquetball, basketball, and much
more.
New Year’s Eve Overnighter
This year the kids will get to have fun on New Year’s Eve!
We swim, play games in the gym, eat pizza, watch a movie and
much more! Great opportunity for parents to get out.
Open to youth 1st-6th Grade. Space is limited so
sign up early!
